Oven Swiss Steak
Oven Swiss Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. round steak (3/4-inch thick), 1/4 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. vegetable oil and 3 medium tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cut meat into 4 portions.
Divide flour into equal portions, combine 1 portion with salt and set aside 2 tablespoons.
Pound remaining flour into meat; brown on both sides in heated oil. Place meat in baking dish; blend reserved flour with drippings in skillet; add tomatoes, broth, celery, carrots, onion and Worcestershire.
Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Pour over meat; cover and bake in a 350Β° oven until meat is tender (1 to 2 hours).
Melt cheese on top.
