Empal Gepuk
Empal gepuk is Sundanese beef simmered in coconut water and warm spices, gently pounded, and fried until dark at the edges. Palm sugar, tamarind, coriander, and serundeng give it a sweet-savory crust that is excellent with rice, cucumber, and sambal.
