Swiss Steak
Swiss Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 cubed steaks, 2 or 3 carrots, sliced, 1 onion, chopped, hot sauce and salt and pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In a bowl, beat egg.
Dip meat in egg wash, then in flour. Brown in a small amount of vegetable oil.
Put steaks in a baking pan.
Meanwhile, add flour to the drippings in the pan and brown a bit.
Add water, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
Add onions and carrots to meat; pour gravy over meat.
You may need to make additional gravy to cover meat.
Cover with foil and bake in 350Β° oven until meat is done and vegetables are tender.
Good served with mashed potatoes or rice.
