Swiss Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 lb. round steak, flour, salt, pepper and 3/4 tsp. worcestershire sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Trim fat off meat and cut into individual serving pieces. Pound, flour and brown meat in 3 tablespoons oil.
Remove from skillet when nice and brown.
Pour out drippings and wipe pan with a paper towel.
Return meat to skillet.
PurΓ©e canned tomatoes and pour over meat.
Add onions and celery.
Simmer for 1 hour.
Add peas and carrots.
Cook 1 more hour.
