White Clam Sauce
White Clam Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 medium onion, 1 to 3 cloves garlic, pressed, 3 tbsp. butter, 1 tbsp. flour and 3 (6 1/2 oz. each) cans minced clams (do not drain), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cook onion in butter until tender.
Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
(Do not brown.)
Stir in flour and mix well.
Add clams with liquid, salt, basil and pepper.
Heat to a boil, reduce and simmer 5 minutes.
Add parsley.
Serve with 8 ounces pasta and Parmesan cheese.
