Southern Style Dumplings
Southern Style Dumplings is an easy dinner. Made with 4 to 5 lb. stewing hen, large bowl sifted flour and salt and pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Make well in center of bowl of flour.
Add salt and pepper. Pour boiling broth from hen into flour stirring all the time with a fork until you have as much as you want.
Turn out onto floured board (I use a big paper sack) and roll out pretty thin.
Cut to desired size and drop into boiling broth a few at a time and cook until done.
Add deboned cooked chicken.
