Old Country Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
Old Country Stuffed Cabbage Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1/4 lb. ground pork, 12 large cabbage leaves, 2 tbsp. pure vegetable oil and 1 small onion, grated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Combine beef, pork, salt, pepper, rice and onion with 1 can of tomato sauce.
Cover cabbage leaves with boiling water for 3 to 4 minutes.
Drain.
Divide mixture of meat onto center of each leaf. Roll up, tucking ends in securely.
Brown in hot oil.
Mix remaining can tomato sauce with brown sugar and lemon juice.
Pour over rolls; simmer, covered, 1 to 1 1/2 hours, basting occasionally.
