Stirred Rice Pudding
Stirred Rice Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. milk, 1/3 c. long grain rice, 1/3 c. raisins, 1/4 c. sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In a heavy saucepan bring milk to boiling.
Stir in uncooked rice and raisins.
Cover.
Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 30 to 40 minutes or until most of the milk is absorbed.
(Mixture may appear curdled.) Stir in sugar and vanilla.
Spoon into dessert dishes.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Serve warm or chilled.
