Low-Fat Oatmeal Cookies
Low-Fat Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. low-fat margarine, room temperature, 1 c. white sugar, 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 2 egg whites, slightly beaten and 1 1/2 c. unbleached, or all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In a large mixing bowl, beat margarine and sugars until fluffy.
Add egg whites.
In a medium sized bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg; add to sugar mixture.
Stir in oats, raisins and vanilla.
Chill one hour.
Preheat oven to 350Β°. Roll a teaspoon of the dough into a ball and place on the ungreased sheet.
Bake 10 minutes.
Cool on wire racks.
Makes about 55 cookies; 1 gram of fat per cookie.
