French Onion Soup
French Onion Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. beef bouillon (2 cans plus 2 cans water), 3 c. thinly sliced yellow onions, 1/4 c. butter, 1 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Saute onions in butter slowly, covered.
Cook 15 minutes on low (not browned).
Add salt, sugar and flour, stir well.
Put all in crock-pot with bouillon.
Cook 6 to 8 hours on low or 3 hours on high.
Place croutons in bowl.
Add soup.
Top with grated cheeses.
Brown a little under broiler.
