Chow Mein
Chow Mein is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. veal and 1 lb. pork or 2 lb. chopped stew meat, 2 c. celery, 2 c. onions, 2 tbsp. molasses and 1 tbsp. dry mustard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cut meat in small pieces (or have the butcher do it for you) and brown in Crisco or vegetable oil.
A frying pan works better than a wok.
Add molasses, mustard, celery and onions.
Cover with water and cook 1 hour or until meat is done.
Add bean sprouts and thicken with cornstarch (put 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in 1/4 cup warm water; stir, then add to mixture).
Pour sauce over noodles and/or rice.
