Chili Con Carne
Chili Con Carne is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup), 2 cloves garlic, crushed, 1 tbsp. chili powder and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cook and stir ground beef, onion and garlic in 3 quart saucepan until beef is brown.
Drain.
Stir in remaining ingredients except beans.
Break up tomatoes. Heat to boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 hour. Stir in beans, heat to boiling, reduce heat.
Simmer uncovered, stirring mixture occasionally until desired consistency, about 20 minutes.
Serves 4.
Serve with warm cornbread.
