Chicken Pot Pie
Chicken Pot Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. melted butter, 1/3 c. all-purpose flour, 2 3/4 c. chicken broth, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add chicken broth; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
Stir in salt and pepper.
Stir in chicken, vegetables and eggs.
Spoon chicken mixture into a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
Cut pastry into 3/4-inch wide strips.
Arrange strips across top of casserole.
Brush pastry with egg.
Bake pie at 400Β° for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
