Cherry Pinwheel Dumplings
Cherry Pinwheel Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 3 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 4 tbsp. shortening and 2/3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Mix together.
Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
Spread with generous amount of butter.
Drain 2 cans sweetened cherries and heat cherries with 2 cups sugar until dissolved.
Spread over dough.
Sprinkle a little cinnamon over all and roll carefully to distribute cherries evenly on dough.
Cut as for cinnamon rolls. Place cut side down in a well-buttered pan.
Bake at 400Β° for 15 minutes.
Then pour thickened and sweetened cherry juice over dumplings and return to oven for another 5 minutes or until slightly brown.
Serve warm plain or with cream.
