Baked Apple Dumplings
Baked Apple Dumplings is an easy dinner. Made with 4 c. sifted pastry flour, 2 rounded tsp. baking powder, 1 level tsp. salt, 2 heaping tbsp. lard or butter and 1 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Sift flour once, then measure.
Add baking powder and salt. Sift 3 times.
Rub in lard with fork and lastly, add milk.
Toss this on a well floured board and roll out a little less than a half inch thick; cut dough in rounds large enough to enclose a small apple.
Peel apples and core.
Place apple on dough, filling cavity of core with sugar, a dash of cinnamon and a small piece of butter. Press dough over apple and bake in a moderate oven.
