Turkey Chili
Turkey Chili is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground turkey, 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped, 3/4 c. kidney beans, cooked, 3 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped and 1 (16 oz.) can no-salt tomato paste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
In a large, heavy pot, brown turkey; pour off any excess fat. Add onions, green pepper and garlic; cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add beans, water, tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, oregano, cumin and red pepper.
Cover; simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Serve with cornbread.
