Top of Stove Rice Pudding
Top Of Stove Rice Pudding is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. water, 3/4 c. rice, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. vanilla and dash of nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cook rice, water and salt rapidly for 5 minutes, stirring, then lower heat to low.
Cover and continue slow cooking for 12 minutes.
Set off burner for 5 minutes, then add 2 cups milk to heat on medium.
(Beat egg whites and sugar; set aside.)
To rice and milk, add egg yolks and sugar, stirring and remove from heat. Add flavorings and egg whites with the sugar, folding in gently. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
