Tomatoless Chili
Tomatoless Chili is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. hamburger meat, 1 can hot chili powder, 2 cans kidney beans, 2 cans mexican style chili beans and 1 large or 3 small onions, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Chop garlic and onions.
Saute in small amount of butter.
Add 1 tablespoon chili powder and stir to mix.
If needed, add 1 more tablespoon chili powder.
Brown hamburger and add 1 tablespoon chili powder and a dash of salt.
Add 1/4 cup flour to hamburger and stir in.
Add beans, water, pepper and more chili powder to taste.
Turn flame down low and cook 4 or 5 hours.
Serve with crackers or buttered bread.
