Sweet Fried Cantaloupe
Sweet Fried Cantaloupe is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 small cantaloupe, 2 tbsp. powdered sugar, 2 jiggers crème de menthe liqueur, 2 tbsp. flour and 1/2 c. dry white wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cut melon into thin slices; remove seeds and skin.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and liqueur.
Let stand for at least 1 hour. Mix together flour, wine, 1/2 teaspoon oil and a little salt. Blend in stiff egg white.
Dip melon slices into batter and fry in hot olive oil only until light gold in color.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
Serve.
