Steak with Mushroom Gravy
Steak With Mushroom Gravy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 pork steaks or boneless chops, 2 tbsp. shortening, 1 medium onion, sliced, 1 1/2 c. water and 1 bouillon cube (beef), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Rub salt and pepper into steaks and brown in shortening in large skillet.
Remove steaks; add onions to drippings and brown. Add mushrooms, water, bouillon and steaks.
Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove steaks to a platter.
Mix cornstarch with sour cream and stir into gravy.
Heat; do not boil.
Season with salt and pepper and pour over the steaks.
Serve over noodles, rice or potatoes.
