Seafood Gumbo
Seafood Gumbo is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/4 c. salad oil, 1/4 c. flour, 1 large onion, chopped, 1 large green pepper and garlic powder to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

In 5-quart Dutch oven, over medium-high heat in very hot oil, gradually cook flour until dark brown, but not burned, stirring constantly.
Stir in onions, pepper, salt and garlic powder to taste.
Cook until onions and peppers are tender, stirring occasionally.
Drain liquid from oysters into flour mixture.
Add tomatoes with their liquid, okra and water.
Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low.
Cover and simmer about 30 minutes.
Add oysters, shrimp, crab and pepper sauce.
Cook until shrimp turns pink and opaque.
Serve in bowls with rice.
