Seafood Gumbo
Seafood Gumbo is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 lb. butter, 2 qt. water, 2 lb. fresh okra, 1 pt. raw oysters and 4 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Melt butter and flour.
Make a smooth paste and stir constantly over medium heat until a rich brown.
Be careful not to burn.
Add water, tomatoes and okra (chopped fine).
Cook slowly for 1 hour. Add crab meat, oysters, shrimp (cleaned) and fish (boned and skinned).
Cook 15 minutes.
Add salt and pepper.
Soup should be thick.
Add steamed rice to each serving.
Serves 8.
