Seafood Gumbo
Seafood Gumbo is an impressive dinner. Made with 3/4 to 1 lb. fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined or may substitute frozen precooked cocktail shrimp (55 to 60 in package), thaw and take tail fins off, 1 pt. oysters (frying size), 1 lb. bay scallops, 4 oz. crabmeat (optional) and 1 medium to large onion, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
In a large skillet or large cooking pot, saute chopped onion, celery, green pepper and garlic in 1/3 to 1/2 cup chicken broth. Add tomatoes and okra.
Heat to simmer.
Add 5 cups chicken broth and simmer, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes.
