Sassy Cocktail Meatballs is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef, 1 slightly beaten egg, 1/8 tsp. black pepper, 1/3 c. chopped onion and 1 tbsp. prepared mustard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper.
Shape into small balls.
Fry or broil until brown, turning once.
Drain well. In saucepan saute onions and green peppers until tender.
Add remaining ingredients.
Stir until sugar is dissolved, then pour over meatballs and simmer slowly, covered, for 15 to 30 minutes. Serve hot.
