Cut round steak into cubes and coat with flour.

Brown in skillet with onion until tender.

Place into greased casserole. Sprinkle with flour, salt, pepper, thyme and garlic.

Pour 2 cups hot water over meat and bake, covered, at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Then add sliced potatoes on top.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Cook, uncovered, at 450° for 45 minutes.
