Real Texas Chili(No Heartburn) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. ground beef, 3 tbsp. vegetable oil, 2 to 3 cloves garlic, 4 to 5 tbsp. chili powder and 2 tsp. ground cumin, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

In a 4-quart pot, cook beef until it changes color, but does not brown.
Lower heat.
Stir in garlic.
Combine chili powder, cumin and flour.
Sprinkle over meat.
Add 1 1/2 cans beef broth. Stir.
Add salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat.
Simmer about 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add remaining broth and cook 15 minutes more.
Add the refried beans and chili beans.
If too thick, add a little water and cook 15 minutes more.
