Peppered Salisbury Steak
Peppered Salisbury Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (15 oz.) can beef gravy, 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs, 1 egg, slightly beaten and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix thoroughly 1/4 cup gravy, ground beef, bread crumbs, egg and salt. Shape into 6 oval patties.
In skillet, brown patties in shortening.
Pour off fat.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes or until done.
Stir occasionally.
