Pastry Wrapped Baked Brie
Pastry Wrapped Baked Brie is an easy dinner. Made with 1 (17 1/2 oz.) pkg. frozen puff pastry, thawed, 1 (2 lb.) wheel of brie (8-inch in diameter) and 1 large egg, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Have a cookie sheet ready.
Lightly dust work surface with flour.
Unfold and roll 1 sheet of puff pastry to an 11-inch square.
Transfer pastry to cookie sheet.
Center Brie on pastry. Brush beaten egg in a 1-inch border around Brie.
Repeat pastry instructions for second sheet and place over Brie to cover it. Smooth pastry over top and side of Brie.
Press to egg-brushed border to seal.
Trim to within 1/2-inch around Brie with sharp knife.
Crimp border with a fork.
Brush all over with egg. Freeze on cookie sheet until hard.
Remove from sheet and wrap in plastic or foil wrap; return to freezer.
