Oven Barbecued Steak
Oven Barbecued Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. round steak (3/4-inch thick), 2 tbsp. salad oil, 1/2 c. onion, chopped, 3/4 c. ketchup and 1/2 c. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Heat oven at 350Β°.
Cut steak into 10 equal portions.
Pour oil in skillet.
Brown each piece of steak on each side.
Transfer to roasting pan.
Add onions to oil in skillet and brown slightly. Add rest of ingredients to make a barbecue sauce and simmer in skillet 5 minutes.
Pour sauce over steaks.
Cover and bake 2 hours.
