New England Clam Chowder
New England Clam Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 lb. bacon, cooked and diced, 2 medium onions, diced, 3 tbsp. flour, 3 large potatoes, diced and 2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cook bacon until lightly browned.
Add onions and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
Chop clams.
Add enough water to clam liquid to make 2 cups.
Stir flour into onion mixture until blended.
Gradually stir in clam mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened.
Stir in potatoes, salt and pepper.
Cover and cook until potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.
Add clams, milk, butter or margarine and cover and cook until heated through for about 5 minutes, stirring often.
Makes 10 cups or 5 servings.
