Lentil Soup
Lentil Soup is an impressive dinner. Made with 5 c. chicken broth (canned), 3 c. water, 1 1/2 c. lentils, 2 lb. can crushed tomatoes and 3 carrots, cut up, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

In a heavy pot combine broth, water, lentils, tomatoes, carrots, onion, celery, garlic, basil, oregano, thyme and bay leaf.
Bring to boil and simmer covered for two hours.
Stir in parsley, vinegar and salt and pepper to taste.
Discard bay leaf. Thin soup, if desired, with water or chicken broth.
