Jean's Mushroom Tarts
Jean'S Mushroom Tarts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. butter, 2 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/3 c. sour cream and 1 egg, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cut 2/3 cup of butter into 2 1/2 cups of flour and 1/2 teaspoon sour cream and egg.
Mix thoroughly. Using 1 teaspoon of dough, press into tiny muffin cups.
Bake at 400° to 15 minutes.
Meanwhile for filling, saute onions and mushrooms in 1/4 cup of butter.
Stir in flour and salt.
Add heavy cream, stirring constantly, until thick. Fill shells. Shells baked and frozen or filled with mushroom mixture and frozen.
Serve frozen filled shells, do not thaw, bake at 400° for 12 minutes, then serve.
