Hi-Protein Honey Wheat Bread
Hi-Protein Honey Wheat Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. yeast, 1 c. water and 1/2 c. honey, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Heat water, honey, margarine and cottage cheese until 120°. Add 2 cups flour, eggs, salt, oats, nuts and yeast.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in remaining flour to form a soft dough.
Knead dough on floured surface for 10 minutes.
Place in greased bowl and cover.
Let rise until double, about 1 hour.
Punch dough down.
Form 2 balls and let rest for 15 minutes.
Shape into 2 loaves.
Place in pans and cover; let rise until double.
Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
Makes 2 loaves.
