Grandma's Baked Limas
Grandma'S Baked Limas is an easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. pkg. lima beans, ham to taste, 1 small onion, 1/2 box brown sugar and 1 jar chili sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Wash beans with cold water.
Place beans in kettle and cover with water.
After it comes to a boil, put in a pinch of baking soda.
Parboil until not white, about 10 minutes (being careful that skins of beans don't start coming off).
Drain.
Put beans in roasting pan with ham, salt and pepper, small onion (quartered and sliced), brown sugar and water just to cover beans.
Bake until water cooks down a little at 325Β°.
Add chili sauce; continue baking until beans are tender and sauce slightly thickened.
