Cream the margarine, Crisco and sugar.
Add vanilla flavoring and blend well.
Add flour, salt and nuts.
This dough ball can be refrigerated until ready to bake.
When ready to bake, break off pinches of the large dough ball and form into small balls.
Place balls on ungreased cookie sheet and bake slowly at 325° to 375° for about 30 minutes.
Do not let cookies get too brown.
Cool cookie balls for about 5 minutes, then pour confectioners sugar, a little at a time, into a paper sack or Tupperware with lid on and carefully shake the cookie balls every few minutes until they are well coated with the white confectioners sugar, making pretty white snowballs.
Makes about 60 snowballs.
