Chili Relleno Casserole
Chili Relleno Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. half and half, 2 eggs, 1/3 c. flour, 3 (4 oz.) cans chopped green chilies and 1/2 lb. monterey jack cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Grate cheese; set aside.
Drain chilies; set aside.
Beat half and half with eggs and flour until smooth.
Mix cheeses and reserve 1/2 cup for topping.
In greased casserole dish, make alternate layers of cheese, chilies and egg mixture.
Pour tomato sauce over top and sprinkle with reserved cheese.
Bake at 375Β° for 1 hour.
Cut in squares to serve as an appetizer.
