Chili Con Carne
Chili Con Carne is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (1 lb.) cans red or kidney beans, 1 large onion, chopped, 1 green pepper, chopped, 1 lb. ground beef and 1 lb. can (2 c.) tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Brown onion, green pepper and meat in a little hot fat.
Add drained beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, salt, bay leaf, dash of paprika and dash of cayenne.
Cover.
Simmer 1 1/2 hours, adding reserved bean liquid or water, if needed.
Makes 6 servings.
Serves 6 to 8.
