Chicken Pot Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pt. frozen peas, 1 pt. carrots, chopped, 2 to 3 c. cooked chicken, 1/2 c. butter and 2 c. milk and cream, mixed (1 c. of each), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Cook peas and onions together; set aside.

Cook carrots and celery together; set aside.

Cut up chicken; set aside.

In large pot, melt butter.

Add heaping 1/2 cup flour and blend well.

Add milk and cream and 2 cups chicken broth slowly.

Cook until sauce is creamy.

Add mixture to vegetables, chicken and lemon juice. Mix well and season to taste.

Pour into pastry lined 3-quart casserole.

Top with crust.

Slit top and bake at 350° to 400° or until browned.
