Chicken Dumplings
Chicken Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large fryer, 2 tbsp. salt, 3 or 4 c. flour, 1 egg and 2 tbsp. margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cook cut up fryer in salty water until tender; take out 1 cup of broth and let cool until lukewarm.
Take 3 cups of flour and add the lukewarm broth; break 1 large egg and mix into a ball of dough.
When kneaded until quite stiff, roll until very thin and cover with wax paper.
Let it set for 1 or 1 1/2 hours.
Cut and drop into boiling chicken.
When done, add butter and milk.
