Melt butter in skillet.
Saute onion. Remove from heat.
Stir in flour, salt, poultry seasoning and pepper. Drain mushrooms reserving liquid.
Add water to make 1/2 cup liquid.
Gradually stir into flour mixture.
Blend in milk until smooth.
Add mushrooms and cook over medium heat until sauce begins to thicken. Arrange broccoli spears and chicken pieces in bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Pour sauce over and top with cheese. Bake at 375Β° for 30 minutes or until bubbly around edges.
