Baklava
Baklava is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. phyllo leaves, 1/2 lb. butter, melted, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 c. finely chopped walnuts or almonds and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Keep phyllo leaves under a damp cloth until needed.
Using 1/2 of phyllo leaves, layer, spreading each with melted butter.
Fold leaves as necessary to fit into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Combine nuts, sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle over the leaves and butter.
Top with remaining leaves, brushing each with melted butter.
Cut into diamond shape and bake at 350Β° until golden brown, about 40 minutes.
Honey is poured over each while they are hot.
