Vegetable-Cheese Bake
Vegetable-Cheese Bake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (10 oz. each) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables, 1/2 c. boiling water, 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 1/4 c. all-purpose flour and 1 1/2 c. milk, scalded, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In a saucepan combine frozen vegetables and boiling water. Bring to a boil again.
Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Drain well. Meanwhile, melt butter in a sauce pan.
Blend in flour; cook for 1 minute.
Gradually stir in milk.
Simmer, stirring, until smooth and thickened.
Add cheese and seasonings.
Mix in vegetables, onions and pimento.
Spread into buttered 1-quart casserole.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
Good served with baked ham or pork chops.
