Traditional Christmas Fudge
Traditional Christmas Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 c. (4 oz.) miniature marshmallows, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine and 1 1/2 c. (9 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Combine butter, evaporated milk, sugar and salt in medium heavy saucepan.
Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Boil for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in marshmallows, morsels, nuts and vanilla.
Stir vigorously for 1 minutes or until marshmallows are melted.
Pour into foil-lined 8-inch square baking pan.
Sprinkle with additional pecans if desired.
Chill until firm.
Makes 2 pounds.
