Tomato Cheese Casserole
Tomato Cheese Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 2 large onions, diced, 1 pkg. (6 oz.) plain croutons, 6 large tomatoes, sliced and 1 tsp. dry basil or 2 tbsp. chopped fresh basil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
In saucepan, medium heat, saute onions in butter for about 5 minutes.
Stir in croutons and saute for another 3 to 4 minutes. In a well-greased 2-quart casserole, layer croutons with onions and tomatoes, sprinkled with basil and cheese.
Finish with tomatoes and cheese.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes.
