Texas Style Spanish Rice
Texas Style Spanish Rice is an impressive Spanish dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with c. chopped onion, c. chopped green pepper, . cooking oil, c. uncooked long grain rice and c. tomatoes with green chilies, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
In a skillet, saute onion and green pepper in oil for about 2 minutes.
Add rice and stir until coated with oil.
Add tomatoes, turmeric, cumin, salt, garlic powder and water.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Add cilantro if desired.
Yield: 6 servings.
