Taco Salad
Taco Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1 1/2 c. diced onion, 1 c. diced celery, 1 c. diced green pepper and 3 cloves garlic, diced (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Fry the ground beef and small amount of oil until brown. Saute onion, celery and green pepper in oil.
Combine the meat and vegetables; simmer for 15 minutes.
Season with salt.
Place chili powder and ground cumin in top of double boiler.
Melt cheese; add can of tomatoes to spices and chili pepper.
You may only add 1/2 can, if desired.
Cut lettuce coarsely; cut tomatoes in chunks. Mix together.
Add Fritos; mix all ingredients, except melted cheese mixture.
Top with hot cheese; mix again.
Serve immediately.
