Swiss Steak Quickie
Swiss Steak Quickie is an easy dinner. Made with 1 tsp. butter or margarine, 1 envelope onion soup mix, 1 1/2 lb. chuck or round steak, cut 1-inch thick, 1 tsp. butter or margarine and 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Center a 20-inch sheet of heavy aluminum foil with teaspoon butter or margarine.
Shake half the contents of 1 envelope onion soup mix on the foil (dry).
Over this, place chuck or round steak with remaining soup mix and 1 teaspoon butter.
Mushrooms around steak.
Bring foil up over meat and double-fold edges.
Place in a shallow baking pan. Bake 1 hour at 375Β°.
