Swiss Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, dash of pepper, 2 tbsp. oil and 2 lb. round steak, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine flour, salt and pepper and pound into steak.
In large skillet, brown steak in hot oil on both sides.
Add chopped vegetables, tomatoes or soup mixture.
Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
Serve over mashed potatoes or rice or egg noodles.
