Strawberry Preserves
Strawberry Preserves is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 8 minutes. Made with (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, c. water, (1 3/4 oz.) pkg. sure-jell, c. sugar and c. rum (grand marnier, kirsch, cointreau or triple sec can be substituted), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine the first 3 ingredients in kettle; bring to a boil and, stirring, boil 1 minute.
Stir in sugar and bring to a boil that can't be stirred down.
Boil hard for 1 minute.
Remove mixture from heat; stir in rum and lemon juice.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Skim off foam and pour into hot, sterilized jars.
Seal. Yields 3 pints.
