Steak and Rice
Steak And Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. tenderized boneless beef or round steak, 1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil, 2 large onions, cut in 1/2-inch slices and separated into rings, 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup and 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cut steak into thin strips.
In a large skillet (ovenproof if desired), brown meat in oil, using high heat.
Add onions; saute until tender-crisp.
Blend soup, water and garlic salt; pour over steak.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour, or until steak is tender.
Or, cover and bake at 350Β°.
Serve over beds of fluffy rice.
